We are thrilled to announce that Byram Construction Limited has won two prestigious awards at the FMB Yorkshire & Trent Master Builder Awards:
🏆 Large Renovation Project Award - Our transformation of a 1930s chapel into a stunning four-bedroom family home was recognised for its exceptional quality and innovation. This ambitious renovation preserved the chapel's historic charm while maximising its modern potential. Standout features include repurposed beams, an enclosed original doorway, expansive glass balconies with valley views, and oak staircases with glass balustrades. Despite the challenges of extreme weather and intricate structural modifications such as an inset balcony and the lower ground floor created from nothing, our dedicated team delivered a project marked by craftsmanship, collaboration, and precision. This accomplishment on our in-house project reflects our dedication to excellence and ensuring client satisfaction every time.
🌿 Sustainable Building Award - Our debut Passive House Certified project has earned acclaim for pushing the boundaries of sustainable construction. Combining a highly insulated timber frame with eco-certified Thermo Ash cladding and traditional dry-stone walling, this home sets a benchmark for energy efficiency and environmental responsibility. The design incorporates a sedum roof, air source heat pump, solar panels, and a mechanical ventilation heat recovery system. Sourcing locally and working closely with craftspeople helped reduce emissions and support the community. Judges highlighted our thorough research and problem-solving ethos, celebrating our "right first time" approach.
These wins reflect the passion, innovation, and integrity of our team. We are proud to share this success with our clients, partners, and community, and we look forward to delivering even more exceptional projects in the future.
