COMMERCIAL PROJECTS

Workshop Hub

Working with the Canal & River Trust at their historical site at Ellesmere Port Boat Museum.

We have converted, the Lime Shed Workshops, one of their unused buildings into a modern office hub.  This new area has created a fabulous space for members of their team to come together to work.

Whilst keeping the spirit of the building we sympathetically renovated the buildings windows and doors.  Refurbishing the shutters, ironmongery, external light fittings.  Keeping the shutters open we installed large windows into the space to help light flood in.  Underfloor heating installed throughout, new roof windows were fitted and the timber of the roof structure cleaned to reveal the character of the existing timber.

The space created incorporates meeting areas, one to one booths, single pods and work stations as well as break out spaces and kitchen area.  Furniture design and supplied by the team at Hunters North

Have a look at the transformation of the building in this amazing location.

Landmark Facelift

Marsden Mechanics built in 1860 has had many uses over the years. But since 2017 it has been under the watchful eye of Marsden Community Trust.

The trust brings together many local activities, groups and also incorporates in the village library in this stunning building.  the building is a much loved landmark of the village and has been given a little facelift over the last few months.

The clocktower needed heavy restoration on the timberwork and our tradesmen have done an amazing job.  Have a look at the inside and outside of the clock tower and the inner workings of the clock itself.

Our jointers have also installed and renovated many windows and doors around the building.  along with the roof and windows in the conservatory.

The works will ensure the building can be enjoyed for any years to come.

Best foot forward...

Colne Valley Chiropody & Podiatry after 5 years at Lakeside Marsden have now re-located to a new site on Peel Street, Marsden.  This prominent position on the village's main street with double frontage has huge curb appeal.  This is now the new home of Colne Valley Chiropody & Podiatry and will no doubt help to up the profile to local people giving them a chance to see the services on offer.

The refurbishment started with taking down existing shelving, walls and ceilings.  New dividing walls to form 3 treatment rooms, reception, WC and kitchen area were created.  New ceiling with concealed lighting were installed together with heating and plumbing for the specialist equipment for the clinic.  Within the partition walls were glazing panels to help light flood through the rooms which helps make them feel spacious and airy.

We were very happy to work with Matthew on this project and wish him all the very best on this exciting new chapter for his business.  The new premises are now open to find out more about Colne Valley Chiropody follow the link Here

BLOC

Holmfirth

Byram Construction Ltd was appointed to create a commercial property in the popular destination of Holmfirth village. With the land being positioned on the main road, it takes a prime position within the area - so it needed to stand out and look quality.

We built a steel-frame building, with external timber cladding, a glass facade and timber decking area.

The result is a trendy, unique cafe space.  Visit Bloc here

Switchgear Buildings, Yorkshire, North East & Lancashire

Byram Construction Ltd was appointed to construct stone and block switchgear buildings for wind turbine sites in Yorkshire, the North East and Lancashire.

The remote aspect of the sites - which were on the moors - meant that the projects were logistically-challenging. We created concrete trenches below ground level and built them up with stone and block. Structural vents and doors were created, as well as site perimeter fencing and groundworks.
